At the age of 11, Cecily Kinloch, is the youngest member of our crew. Having started acting at just age 8, and currently starring in the Lancaster Grand Theatre's production of 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' as 'Lucy', she is already carving out a name for herself. Her emotional awareness and natural ability to connect with material in ways that feel both instinctive and honest made it clear she was going to bring something truly special to the project.

INSPIRATION

It is rare to see the English Countryside depicted as hostile. Vast, solitary landscapes, stretching as far as the eye can see, with signs of civilisation few and far between, while the ruins of the North's industrial age litter the landscape. In Am I a Good Man, this setting is a place where lawlessness goes unchecked and corruption gets buried.

Inspired by the likes of Terrence Malick's 'Badlands', and Luca Guadagnino's 'Bones and All', Am I a Good Man seeks to reimagine rural England as something far darker and stranger than we're used to seeing on screen.

Recent Updates

  • Starting bright an early to catch the sunrise, everyone kitted up at 04:30am and headed off to Toddmorden (North Manchester). This was the first time that all key cast and crew were together. Today was the perfect day to explore different things we wanted to experiment with and additoinally, a perfect way to get the team together for a full day of filming!

  • Obtaining an incredible concept artist (Noemie Sermet), finalising the Promo video edit and collating all of our assets, we launched the Kickstarter on Tuesday the 26th of May 2026. Let the campaign begin!

  • Having already collated a killer HOD team, our next steps are to start to contact and advertise for the other crew and cast roles. Having these other roles filled around the same time that we are cleaning up shot lists and having locked in shoot dates, this will allow for a big collaboration between all departments, and also allow us to get to know each other properly before the shoot.

We plan on having all of our team collected by the end of May.
